Warranty Information
Lap and Dado provides a One Year Limited Warranty on manufacturing defects. Please keep a receipt of Your purchase for warranty claims. Products shipped to and for use warrant to You that the Products are free of Defects in material and workmanship for one year from delivery if properly stored, handled, assembled, maintained, and used under normal conditions. “Defects” are defined as imperfections that will impair the use of the Products.
WARRANTY PERIOD
The Warranty Period shall start from the date of delivery and shall automatically terminate upon the expiry of the Warranty Period even if the Product has not been in use or has not been installed after purchase for any part or whole of the Warranty Period for any reason whatsoever.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
- The warranty is limited to the construction and workmanship and does not include Defects caused by accidental damages, spills, damages caused by everyday use (such as water damage, scratches, ware or fading), incorrect handling, assembly, maintenance, improper storage or cleaning.
- Defects occurring after purchase due to product modification, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse, or negligence.
- Any Defects resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance or care or damage caused by the use of aggressive or chemical cleaning agents.
- Any condition resulting from other than ordinary wear or any use for which the product was not intended.
- Chipping or scratching of powder paint with wear, future corrosion from underneath the powder paint or gradual fading of polish with use are not covered under the warranty.
- Other exceptions include unsuitable environments or exposure to elements that may cause expansion and contraction of wood, exposure to direct sunlight, heat sources, placement next to glass doors/ windows or extremes in temperature or humidity.
- Damages incurred during transportation, handling, assembly or maintenance; in case excluded from our scope.
- Commercial use of Product i.e. use in a commercial setting/establishment other than a residential setting.
- Normal wear and tear.
- All natural materials such as wood, veneer, rattan, stone, leather, etc. develop a natural patina with age. This is a natural part of the aging and patina process and is not considered a Defect.
- Natural materials including, wood, rattan, stone, veneer, etc. have their own distinct natural differences and occasional natural blemishes, knots, checks, variations, colour variations or voids which are an inherent characteristic of these materials and do not constitute a Defect under the warranty.
- The warranty does not cover pilling for fabric, which is a result of normal wear, nor fading, which can be caused by overexposure to sunlight. All foam and filling composites naturally soften with use. This softening does not constitute a Defect under the warranty.
- The natural beauty of leather means that no two pieces of leather are exactly alike. As such, natural markings and grain variations are not considered defects. Buttons on tufted products covered with fabric/ leather are also not covered under warranty as we do not have any control over the usage of these products.
- Bubbles, lines, slight surface imperfections or discolouration are all characteristics of fine handcrafted glass and are not considered Defects.
WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE
- If You find a material Defect in material or workmanship in any Product, part or component, You must report such Defect during the relevant warranty period to Lap and Dado customer service via support@lapanddado.com. Lap and Dado in due course at its sole option and discretion, and consequent to any inspection of the Product, will repair or replace the Product free of charge, subject to the terms and conditions contained in this Warranty.
- Replacement or repair of Product/s does not extend its warranty period beyond the original warranty expiration date. All Lap and Dado Product warranties are limited warranties and are limited to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Our warranty is non-transferrable and is void if the Product is misused, handled improperly, reupholstered or repaired by any resource other than us or our partners.
- For warranty issues, we will repair or provide reasonably equivalent furniture as a replacement due to any product defects. Replacement furniture will be of equal value to the original purchase price. No cash refund is available and in no case shall we be liable for more than the purchase price of the furniture or for incidental or consequential damages. Visible defects and variances to order details must be brought to our attention within 7 (SEVEN) days of delivery. Issues not presented within 7 days of delivery will be considered “acceptable” and will not be warranted.
- The Lap and Dado E-Commerce Platform shall use reasonable efforts to resolve a warranty claim as soon as possible. However, You acknowledge and understand that response times will vary depending upon the nature of the Your claim, the location of the Product and the availability of resources.
Before You purchase the Product, please read this Warranty thoroughly. By purchasing, keeping or using the Product, You will be deemed to have unconditionally agreed to this Warranty, which shall govern Your use of the Product.
